CPM (Cost Per Mille)

Cost to deliver 1,000 ad impressions.

CPM stands for Cost Per Mille (Latin for thousand). It is the price an advertiser pays for one thousand impressions of an ad, regardless of clicks. CPM is the standard pricing model for brand-awareness campaigns where the goal is reach, not direct response.

In the MENA region, CPMs on Meta typically range from $1.50 to $4.50 for Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, and $5 to $12 for Saudi Arabia, UAE and Kuwait — significantly cheaper than US/EU markets ($10–$25). This is one of the reasons many advertisers running stores aimed at Gulf consumers prefer to target via Morocco-based ad accounts: the conversion intent of Gulf customers paired with creative produced in Morocco delivers strong ROAS at lower cost.

To lower CPM, improve your creative relevance (Meta's quality ranking), broaden audiences, and avoid over-segmenting. CPM rises sharply when audiences are smaller than 200k people or when ad fatigue sets in (frequency above 3.0).
